We are calling on voluntary, community, faith, service user, carers groups and organisations to join our new Voice Network and help us capture the views and real-life experiences of a wide range of
We want to work with as many different organisations as possible so we can reflect evidence from the views and experiences of their members and service users and help to ensure that their health and social care needs are properly catered for and met. With this evidence and our role and influence, we can prompt changes for the better.
We also hope that members of the Voice Network can help us spread the Healthwatch Surrey message as widely as possible, via their members, service users, contacts and networks. So that as many people as possible know that Healthwatch Surrey is here to ensure that the voice of citizens right across Surrey is heard – from those that shout loudly to those that are seldom heard.
The Voice Network will geographically span Surrey's six Clinical Commissioning Group areas as well as covering five broad themes:
- mental health
- older people
- children and young people
- disability (including learning, physical, sensory and cognitive).
So that we can capture a wide range voices from across Surrey quickly and efficiently, our Voice Network will primarily be a 'virtual' one, although we will be holding occasional meetings across the county. This means we will mostly contact network member organisations via email, and through an online forum.
