Written evidence submissions
The committee scrutinising the Government Health Bill is meeting now.
One part of the Bill relates to the abolition of Healthwatch. If you have worked with us and want to express your views about the importance of an independent voice, this is your opportunity to share your views.
Other changes the Bill proposes: Enable a single patient record to be created, implement changes to the patient safety landscape (includes bringing the Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB) into the Care Quality Commission (CQC), abolish NHS England, change who is represented on ICBs and remove the requirement for integrated care partnerships and change governance of NHS trusts.
You can submit evidence via email: scrutiny@parliament.uk
Please be aware that anyone considering submitting written evidence is strongly advised to do so as soon as possible, as the Committee can conclude its considerations earlier than the expected deadline of 16 July 2026.
