Enter and View Derby House - September 2025

As part of our Enter and View role, we visited Derby House, a registered care home that supports 6 women who have a learning disability and autism. Ages of residents at the time of our visit were between 40-80. We were shown around by the manager of the home, with input from staff that were on duty that morning. We also met family members of 4 of the people living at Derby House.

Based on findings from our visit and the people we spoke to, we observed that the home is well maintained, the individuals are well cared for and their families reported being happy with all aspects of care.

Our report details our observations and what we heard whilst we were there which has been shared with the service provider.

Enter and View Hillcroft - July 2025

Hillcroft is a registered social care home for men and women over the age of 50 with a learning disability and associated needs.
We were shown around by the manager of the home, with some input from the deputy manager. We were able to speak to another staff member and meet one of the individuals living at Hillcroft. Three staff members completed our staff questionnaire. A family member of one of the people also completed the friends and family questionnaire.

Enter and View Ashmount - April 2025

Ashmount is a 6 bed home for men with moderate to severe learning disability and autism. We visited Ashmount in March 2025 and spoke to family members to get their impressions of the service, both face to face and also using a survey that was emailed to the families who were happy for communication that way. We had feedback from 2 parents. No one living at Ashmount had capacity to speak to us and none of them communicated verbally.
