The Big Conversation on Care - have your say

Adult social care affects millions of people across the country. It supports older people, disabled people and people with long term health conditions with a wide range of everyday tasks, helping them to live independently and safely.

The Big Conversation is part of the work being undertaken by the Independent Commission on Adult Social Care, also known as the Casey Commission. This is being led by Baroness Louise Casey, who was asked by the Prime Minister to consider how adult social care should change to meet the needs of current and future generations, and to make recommendations for reform.

The Commission will be gathering evidence from people in different ways - those who work directly in adult social care, people who wouldn't be able to take part online and from a Public Panel.

To ensure it hears from as many people as possible, it has also launched an online conversation platform where you can share ideas and vote on the ideas posted by other people.

Everything heard through the Big Conversation will be brought together and considered alongside the other evidence gathered by the Commission. This will help inform the Commission’s recommendations to Government on the future of adult social care.

You can join in whether you receive care and support, care for someone else, work in adult social care or have never really thought about care before.
