Can drones deliver AED devices? - Participants required
This is a joint study with the University of Surrey, South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) and Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex (AAKSS).
The study will explore how drones could be used as part of the UK’s 999 emergency response to deliver AEDs to people
experiencing a cardiac arrest. The study focusses on the whole process including how the drone is dispatched during a 999 call, how it arrives on scene, and how the person calling for help is supported to find and use the AED.
Get involved
The study wants to involve a wide range of people - particulalry members of the public with no medical background.
Further information about the project and getting involved can be found in the downloadable leaflet below.
