Surrey County Council Play and Leisure Short Breaks Consultation- closes 4th March

Surrey County Council (SCC) has launched a consultation on proposed changes to its Play and Leisure Short Breaks programme, which supports children and young people with additional needs to enjoy inclusive activities- and gives parent carers valuable time to recharge.
On a dark blue image there are various icons arranged in 2 rows - on the top row an online survey, hands raised in the air and speech bubbles; on the bottom row a happy face, a neutral face and a sad face. To the top left corner and bottom right corner are the Healthwatch Surrey speech marks.

SCC want to make the programme fairer and more sustainable alongside needing to identify efficiencies and cost savings as part of the council’s need to achieve a balanced budget.

SCC want to hear from families, service providers, professionals and the wider community to give feedback on this service to help shape services that are fair, and better in line with current and future needs, whilst also remaining affordable and delivering good value for money with the available budget.
