NIHR Public Committee Member Recruitment- closes 27th February

The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) is looking for Public Members to help them assess funding applications for health and social care research.
On a dark blue image there are various icons arranged in 2 rows - on the top row an online survey, hands raised in the air and speech bubbles; on the bottom row a happy face, a neutral face and a sad face. To the top left corner and bottom right corner are the Healthwatch Surrey speech marks.

The NIHR is particularly looking for people with lived experience and/or a good understanding of patient and public involvement in research. This could include experience in reviewing applications, working with researchers, being part of a research study, or serving on committees or advisory groups.

Public committee members will read and review funding proposals and provide a written summary of their reflections. Their insights and lived experiences can help shape research that matters to them and improve health and care services. The NIHR offer a fee to acknowledge their valuable time and input.
