Your views on registering online for a GP Practice - closes 10 February

Health Innovation Kent Surrey and Sussex are working with NHS Surrey Heartlands and NHS Sussex to see how helpful a digital tool called Healthtech-1 is for GP practices in Surrey and Sussex.

Healthtech-1 is an online tool. It helps people register for a GP Practice online. Patients can register online through the NHS App or the GP website. Patients will not notice any change. People who want to continue to register in-person at a GP Practice can - this will not change.

Healthtech-1 works in the background so GP staff do not have to type in the patient's details. It also helps GP staff collect and manage health information more easily.
On a dark blue image there are various icons arranged in 2 rows - on the top row an online survey, hands raised in the air and speech bubbles; on the bottom row a happy face, a neutral face and a sad face. To the top left corner and bottom right corner are the Healthwatch Surrey speech marks.

NHS Surrey Heartlands wants to understand whether the online GP Practice registration tool makes things easier for patients and staff.

Please complete this 7 question survey by 10 February 2026. The survey should take 10 minutes to complete.

Why are NHS Surrey Heartlands seeking your views?

Their aim is to:

  • Involve people and communities in Surrey and Sussex to understand their views and ensure they feed into the project.
  • Highlight and respond to any barriers people would experience.

What will be the impact of your feedback, and how will you be told about the impact?

  • Your feedback will be included in their work.
  • They will publish the report with the results of the survey, and the impact of your involvement.
