RNIB Network35 Member Recruitment

An opportunity to become a Network35 Member for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has been working with a wide range of blind and partially sighted people over the last 6 months, to understand what the future may look like for them in 2035. They have also helped them test some ideas about what a future RNIB should look like. They now want to build on what they have learned and are seeking your involvement to help shape their future direction further, helping them make their organisation more sustainable, increasing their impact, and reaching even more people who need their support.

The project is being delivered by a small team of RNIB experts and delivery specialists. Alongside this, they would like to create a structured network made up of individuals with lived experience of sight loss who are able to advocate for the needs of blind and partially sighted people.

Together, the team will work from January 2025 to August 2026. Based on the outcomes of this work, there may be further opportunities for you to get involved.

RNIB are looking for people who:

  • Are comfortable thinking about the lives and needs of people whose experiences might be very different from your own.
  • Have a desire to help shape the future direction of RNIB.
  • Have different degrees of sight loss, including:

          -registered blind/severely sight impaired

          -registered partially sighted/sight impaired

-have a visual impairment, but are not registered

          -have correctable sight loss
