Our new volunteer Linda explains why she joined us

One of our new volunteers, Linda explains why she joined us as a volunteer, supporting our engagement sessions:
“I heard about Healthwatch Surrey during a meeting at work just a month before I retired. After a bit of googling, I decided that the volunteer role of community listener would suit me perfectly, having worked in children’s community services in the NHS for 40 years.
I really enjoy interacting with a large variety of people, listening, empathising and signposting where possible.
I am hopeful that the feedback we gather feed into changes for the better. ”
