New Mental Health Hospitals – What Matters to You?

7th June 2022

Surrey Coalition are running this survey about the building of new mental health hospitals in Surrey.

They would like to hear from people who have used Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust mental health services, or who care for someone who has.

The Trust is building mental health hospitals in Surrey. One will replace the Abraham Cowley Unit in Chertsey, another will be built later in the East of Surrey. They have already completed Farnham Road Hospital in Guildford in 2015. These will be hospitals where people can stay to receive treatment from specialists trained in managing and treating serious mental health conditions.

Surrey Coalition of Disabled People would like to understand what you would like from the new hospitals to make them as beneficial as possible if you should ever need to use one.
