We are recruiting for 2 Information and Engagement Officers

4th May 2024

Do you love talking to people?  Are you interested in sharing what matters to people about mental health or primary care?  Do you care about improving services for people in Surrey? We are pleased to have 2 Insight and Engagement Officer roles that we are recruiting to, one with a primary care focus and one with a mental health focus. Deadline to apply: Sunday 19 May (5pm)

As our Insight & Engagement Officer you will:

  • Design, deliver and report on at least one project per year (relating to mental health or primary care) supported by our Research Manager. This may involve gathering people’s views via events and outreach sessions, analysing existing research and insight, designing surveys, and working with voluntary and community groups.
  • Work with our team and our volunteers to identify groups and people to talk to.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders, communities, and groups across Surrey.
  • Listen to people and help them share their stories.
  • Produce regular reports and presentations based on what people have shared.
  • Plan, organise and conduct engagement events.
  • Accurately capture and code experience from the public on our database.
  • Analyse feedback and identify themes to share back with NHS and social care partners.
  • Track and escalate our concerning cases.
  • Lead on our influencing work in one geographic area of Surrey.
  • Consider creative ways to influence and improve services based on people’s experiences.

You will need to have experience working within the Surrey and have knowledge of local NHS and social care; excellent at talking to people; caring and curious about their experiences; have good attention to detail and be confident to be the face of Healthwatch Surrey in meetings to help amplify voices.
