Weybridge site update

29th March 2018

Since the Weybridge Hospital fire in July 2017, North West Surrey CCG has been focussing resources on ensuring continuation of the majority of services that were provided on this site.

North West Surrey CCG wrote to patients and local Weybridge residents in January 2018, informing them that we had successfully re-located the two GP Practices, Church Street and Rowan Tree to temporary accommodation at the former Weybridge Hospital site alongside other community services provided by CSH Surrey e.g. phlebotomy clinics.

Our long-term aim and commitment is to extend the health care provided on this site, working with local people to determine what that will look like. We want to improve the services available outside of hospital across the whole of North West Surrey to ensure patients get the right care, at the right place, at the time they need it; and we fully intend the site in Weybridge to play a key role in delivering this.

The CCG is now finalising plans to carry out a public consultation over the summer to help shape its out-of-hospital strategy and to ensure the health care provision in North West Surrey meets the needs of the population into the future.

A range of workshops and events will take place in different parts of North West Surrey and details regarding how to get involved will be shared soon on our website as well as through direct communications with our key stakeholders.

If you would like to take part in this opportunity to shape how care outside of hospital will be provided in the future within North West Surrey, please email nwsccg.comms@nhs.net.

Updates will also be published on our website www.nwsurreyccg.nhs.uk/weybridgehospital
